stART in the Park '08 Coordinators

This was taken after the June 1 event, stART in the Park...hope you were there with us!

Mid-Summer blahs but excited all the same!

While most of the planners are on vacation, this 4th of July weekend, I am home toiling with stART paperwork and general business!

We are happy to announce stART has received a grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation! YAYY! In addition to the funding already provided from the Mass. Cultural Council awarded by the Worcester CC, we are well on our way to covering the increasing costs of hosting stART in September!

Already 1/3 of the artist spaces are booked and more than half of the jewelry vendor spaces are accounted for - so if you are a jewelry vendor, get your application in! This year we are not jurying - spaces are allotted for jewelers on a first-come, first-served basis.

The participating artist page will be available soon on the website - we are trying a new setup to try to keep from having over 14 pages of artist listings as we did last year - can you believe that? So much talent all in one place - awesome!

We are seeking more coordinators to assist in the pre-event planning if you or someone you know is interested in taking part in our dynamic group! Currently we are seeking a Sponsorship Coordinator and an Assistant Youth Coordinator. Please email me for more info sarah at startonthestreet dot org

Make sure you grab one of the "I Support Local Artists" vinyl stickers - only $1.75! Available now on the stART website

I hope everyone is busy MAKING stuff and keeping cool!
